Role Overview:
SOMOS.tech is looking for an organized, people-focused Community Program Manager to help drive and support local programming in Miami, FL. In this volunteer role, you'll play a vital part in building community connections, managing local initiatives, and supporting the Local Network Lead in bringing SOMOS.tech’s mission to life on the ground. If you thrive on logistics, love collaborating, and are passionate about tech for social good, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the planning and execution of local programs, events, and workshops.

  • Collaborate closely with the Local Network Lead to ensure smooth operation of all Miami-based initiatives.

  • Manage timelines, schedules, and logistics for community events and campaigns.

  • Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and coordinating volunteers for local initiatives.

  • Maintain communication with community members, partners, and volunteers to keep engagement high.

  • Track program success metrics and gather feedback to improve future efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in program or event coordination, preferably in a nonprofit, tech, or community setting.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to community empowerment.

  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn tools like Google Workspace, Slack, and project management platforms.

  • Based in or frequently available in the Miami area for in-person events and meetings.
