Role Overview:
SOMOS.tech is looking for an enthusiastic and community-driven leader to serve as the Miami, FL – Local Network Co-Lead. This volunteer role is essential in building local connections and driving SOMOS.tech’s mission forward within the Miami area. The ideal candidate is passionate about using technology to create positive social change and brings strengths in leadership, communication, and event coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead local outreach and community engagement efforts in collaboration with a fellow Co-Lead.

• Co-manage the local budget for events and initiatives.

• Align local efforts with SOMOS.tech’s broader goals by working closely with the global team and your Co-Lead.

• Share responsibilities for communicating with local volunteers and stakeholders.

• Plan and execute events that reflect and promote SOMOS.tech’s mission, alongside your Co-Lead.

• Co-lead the recruitment, coordination, and support of local volunteers.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience in community leadership, with a collaborative mindset to work alongside a Co-Lead.

• Ability to co-manage budgets and allocate resources effectively.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills, especially in a co-leadership structure.

• A passion for technology as a force for social impact.

• Based in or able to regularly attend in-person events in the Miami area.
