The Fundraiser Manager at SOMOS.tech is responsible for developing and implementing fundraising strategies to support the organization’s mission and programs. This role involves cultivating relationships with donors, organizing fundraising events, and ensuring the financial sustainability of the organization.

Role Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies and campaigns.

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, and other funding sources.

  • Organize and coordinate fundraising events, including virtual and in-person events.

  • Identify and pursue grant opportunities, preparing and submitting grant proposals.

  • Manage donor communications and ensure timely acknowledgment of contributions.

  • Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to promote fundraising initiatives.

  • Track and report on fundraising progress, providing regular updates to the leadership team.

  • Ensure compliance with fundraising regulations and best practices.

  • Develop and maintain a donor database to track contributions and engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in fundraising and donor management.

  • Strong networking and relationship-building capabilities.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work effectively with virtual teams and manage remote relationships.

  • Knowledge of fundraising best practices and regulations.

  • Strong commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion within the tech sector.

  • Creative and strategic thinking skills.

Time Commitment: 2-4 hours per week

Note: All volunteer roles are required to attend a bi-weekly 30 min scrum meeting online. Each volunteer role is committed to 1.5-4 hours a month.
