Role Overview:
SOMOS.tech is seeking a dynamic and mission-driven individual to take on the role of Miami, FL – Local Network Lead. As the primary leader for the Miami chapter, you’ll play a key role in building a strong local tech-for-good community, spearheading initiatives that reflect SOMOS.tech’s values and goals. This volunteer position is ideal for someone passionate about empowering communities through technology and equipped with strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all local outreach, engagement, and community-building efforts in Miami.

• Develop and oversee the local budget to support events and programs.

• Act as the primary liaison between the Miami network and SOMOS.tech’s global team.

• Build and maintain relationships with local partners, volunteers, and community stakeholders.

• Organize impactful local events and initiatives aligned with SOMOS.tech’s mission.

• Recruit, manage, and support a local team of volunteers and ambassadors.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in leadership, preferably in community, nonprofit, or tech-related spaces.

• Strong budgeting and project management skills.

• Excellent communication abilities and comfort with public speaking and networking.

• Passionate about using technology as a tool for equity, inclusion, and social change.

• Based in or regularly available in the Miami area for in-person events and meetings.
